The event, which was spearheaded by the Creative Volts and Asia Illustration Society team, brought together over 300 artworks from countries all over Asia.—including industry insiders, media, and general art lovers—to enjoy artworks from countries such as Taiwan, Japan Korea, Hong Kong, Macau. China, Malaysia, Singapore and more were highlighted with quirky, bold colours, striking exhibition designs, and wall illustrations.
Besides the usual showcasing of illustrations, the event gave a wider perspective of the illustrator industry, through the sharing of prominent key artists from the Asia region. These artists have been elevating the illustration industry with their vast amount of illustrations, insights and mentoring.
These sessions by these artists were indeed quite a mind opening view into the current, the development and the future of the industry.

What is an art exhibition without meeting the artists?
The launch day also saw fans getting the chance to meet their favorite artists, some of whom had flown in specially for Asia Illustrations Collection Art Exhibition 2017. Fans were thrilled to meet and get their postcards signed by their favorite artists. Some of these fans even brought their own sketchbooks to share with their favorite artists!
For its first ever illustrations exhibition out of Taiwan, it has given acknowledgment to many of the illustrators and gave affirmation to the the platform it has given and will be providing in the future.
A great accomplishment for the future of the art scene in this part of the world and we look forward to the next exhibition, with an abundant of unexplored artists from around the Asian region.
